Every year around this time, Josh and I have a conversation that goes something like this:
Me: Hey, I think today might be our anniversary.
Josh: Cool.
Me: Wait, maybe it's tomorrow. What day were we married?
Josh: The 18th. No, the 19th.
Josh: The 18th. No, the 19th.
Me: Maybe we should just ask my mom.
I actually have a fantastic memory for dates, but for some reason our wedding anniversary stumps me every year. But I definitely know it was yesterday, because my mom brought us flowers :) I wore this outfit to go on a short evening walk, and then eat pasta at home while watching Burn Notice. Yes, we do know how to live it up.
Yeesh, look at that vein on my hand. It's all I can see when I look at this photo now...
Gray dress: Anthropologie
White wedges: Sam Edelman (Kendall wedges) from Piperlime
Black necklace: Urban Outfitters
White bracelet: H&M
Ring: free from my aunt
Aw happy anniversary! Patrick and I are the same way. LOL Hopefully it is better when we actually get married. Love this soft ruffled dress!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm hoping after a few more years of marriage, our anniversary date will start to stick :)
Deletehappy anniversary!! Your grey dress is so pretty & classic, great anthro find :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! And I have to brag - I found that dress on the sale rack :)
DeleteI love your shoes, so gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Louisa!
DeleteWhat a lovely dress! The scallops are just darling. You sound like my husband and I! We're coming up on two years here in just three days, and we'll probably do something similar to what you mentioned here- laid back at home probably watching netflix :) haha. Happy, Happy Anniversary! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks, Katie! Low-key anniversaries are my favorite thing - I'm very much a homebody!
DeleteHappy anniversary - your celebrations sound like my kind of style! : ) I like the jewelry you picked to style this outfit!

Thanks, Joanne! I wasn't sure if the jewelry quite went with the outfit, so it's nice to get some validation :)
DeleteLoving the scallop details of this dress! You look absolutely fabulous. Happy belated anniversary too! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Deletethat dress is so adorable, and I think it is too funny you can't remember your anniversary.
ReplyDeleteI really hope someday I can celebrate my wedding anniversary with Italian food and Burn Notice.
And I must say, even though it's my favorite show ever, they are using that "SOMEONE IS GONNA DIE THIS WEEK" advertising crap, and I'm really disappointed. Whoever dies better be someone stupid that one one cares about.
Agh, I hate it when shows do that! I mean, generally you know they're not going to kill a major character - but it still always worries me a little anyway. It's one of my most hated marketing tactics.
