Spring weather

Once again, we had another day of absurdly gorgeous weather - although to be fair, I consider 55 degrees to be absurdly gorgeous when it's winter, but 55 degrees in summer is absolutely freezing. I wore this on Sunday to take a tour of a children's hospital that's going to open soon in North Portland. My aunt has been doing fundraising for it for years, so it was fun to go see the finished product of the hard work that she and all the other employees have put into it for the last few years. It's full of bright colors, open spaces, and cheerful photography - it's a truly beautiful place for children fighting illnesses to convalesce.

  2. This dress is amazing! But the item I love the most in this outfit is the bracelt, SO pretty! :) Your aunt is an amazing person for what she did for the hospital :) You barely see this kind of charity where I live, such a shame! x

    1. I know, isn't the bracelet great?! When I first got it I was a little confused as to why it kept falling off my wrist, until I realized that it was meant to be worn higher on the arm.

And yes, my aunt is pretty amazing :)

    1. I think this is only the second time I've worn my red tights - it's tough to work them into an outfit without looking clownish!

  5. It has been warm, hasn't it. I'm kicking myself for not taking more advantage of it. Maybe tomorrow I'll wear tights but no high boots.

Love your bright red tights with the bright dress. And that necklace is amazing!

  6. I have that same dress from Target, and I always look forward to the way you style it! I have such a hard time figuring out how to wear it in cold weather.

  10. haha, it's funny how that works -- 55° in the winter and I want to run around with bare legs and arms, but 55° in the summer and I'll be huddled up under 12 layers complaining about how cold it is.
