Here are pictures from a few days ago, where I decided to dress up as Indiana Jones. Not really, but doesn't the hat look like something he would wear?
This was only my second time wearing this vest. The trouble with having a wardrobe almost entirely full of brightly colored clothes is that it's hard to work something into the rotation if it's in a softer shade. So far I've only found three colors that go with this vest: brown, olive green, and white. Even black, which is generally what I turn to when I want to wear an unusual color, looks odd with this vest.
Brown turtleneck: Kohl's
Green vest: Anthropologie
Jeans: Levi's from Urban Outfitters
Brown boots: Jessica Simpson from Macy's
Green hat: vintage, gift from my dad
Gold necklace: Evidence Jewelry, won in a giveaway
Gold bracelet: free from a family member
It does look like an adventerous hat, love that watch!

Thanks, Marie!
DeleteGreat hat! My oldest son would love your Indiana Jones reference. I cannot tell you how many times I had to listen to that damn theme song for months straight during his Indiana Jones obsession. I'm not kidding.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that theme song is one that gets stuck in your head so easily - whenever I watch one of the Indiana Jones movies, I'm humming it for days afterwards!
DeleteI bet your teal jeans would look great with this vest, over maybe a white or dusty pink (floral?) top of some sort? I think that would look killer. And, that does look like a very 'Indie' hat haha, I dig it. Great outfit :)
ReplyDeleteI love your suggestions, Celynne! I didn't even think about pairing it with those teal jeans.
