Outfit thievery

I straight-up stole this outfit from Debbie. But like any good English major I know that plagiarism is wrong, so here I am citing my source: check out the real version here. I loved the relaxing effect that the chambray shirt had on the striped skirt (which is actually a dress). This whole outfit felt delightfully casual and lazy, though of course I had to glam it up a wee bit with some jewelry. I got this necklace at the gift shop at Legacy Emanuel Hospital of all places. It was only ten dollars (ten dollars!), which means I will definitely be heading back to buy more in different colors. I've always heard that hospital and museum gift shops have great accessories, and now that I know it's true I just might be hitting up the Portland Art Museum this weekend for some more jewelry.

Chambray shirt: Sears
Maxi dress (worn as skirt): Forever 21
Platform sandals: thrifted from House of Vintage
Belt: thrifted from Goodwill
Earrings: free from aunt
Necklace: gift shop at Legacy Emanuel Hospital

PS - Check back later today for a roundup of stylish fashion bloggers that I put together!

  1. Aw, thanks for the cite, Stacey! Accessorizing does not come easily to me, so I love how you glammed it up with the jewelry ($10 for that necklace, awesome!)
