I think choosing outfits would be a lot easier if I didn't have this blog. Instead of just throwing on whatever is comfortable for an evening stroll with Josh, I spend twenty minutes agonizing over my outfit, trying to find something that is Totally Innovative and Never Seen Before By My Blog Readers. The other evening, though, I got so tired of trying to be creative that I just threw on what I really wanted to wear, which was this.
And on our walk we stopped at a new ice cream shop that opened in our area called Salt & Straw. Oh. My. Goodness. I've never had better ice cream in my life. It was so good I wanted to cry. If you're ever in the Portland area, you really should try it. We shared the sea salt ice cream with caramel ribbons - the salt was, surprisingly, the perfect touch. If I could, I'd eat that flavor every day for the rest of my life.
Floral shirt: Marshall's

Gold necklace: Evidence Jewelry, won in a giveaway
Gold cuff bracelet: In Pink
"S" pin: vintage, gift from my mom
I took this photo on our walk; lately I've been obsessed with photographing flowers with the evening light shining through them...
I will definitely try that ice cream place next time I'm in Portland. It sounds delish!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I know what you mean about the blog. I spilled coffee on yesterday's outfit and when I went home to change I agonized over wearing something brand new (to the blog) and photographing a second outfit or wearing something that's already been on the blog and not worrying about it. I went with the latter but it seemed silly to me to have to think about it.
You look gorgeous though and I love your wedges. I just ordered some colorful ones of my own; I hope they look half as good!
Lovely, colorful outfit as always! I've been looking for a cuff bracelet like that...love it.
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying the sea salt and caramel trend lately, especially in candy. Sooo good!
Sea salt and caramel is officially my new favorite flavor combination - someone made me caramels recently with big chunks of salt in them, and they were the most amazing candy ever.
DeleteThose flowers are real?! Holy cow they are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean - sometimes I think if it's not worth photographing then it's a horrible outfit. Stress!! But, I think I'm just going to do a sweatpants post and get over it! Ok - maybe I won't go that far :)
Yes, do a sweatpants post! That would be awesome :)
DeleteYou're so cute! I know what you mean about putting outfits together, and sometimes the less thought you put in the better the outfit turns out.
ReplyDeleteThat ice cream sounds pretty magical, I'm bummed I don't live in the area!
I really like your feather bracelet - adorable! :)
New follower, look forward to seeing more!
I love your arm cuff - what a cool piece. Those flowers are surreal, too!

ReplyDeleteHello Stacey!
ReplyDeleteI think that every personal style blogger goes through the same dilemma in the event an outfit is somehow ruined, I usually choose my outfit according to the background that I have in mind so I can totally feel your agony! Love to see another local blogger representing this amazing city!
