Everyday comfort

I got my wireless camera remote in the mail yesterday, and - aaargh, I hate it! Okay, so it works just fine, but 1) I can't get the dang camera to focus on me when using it, and 2) I look really grumpy in all the photos I took with it. (That may have been because it's even more awkward to take pictures of yourself using a tripod than it is to have someone else take pictures of you.) But once I get those problems sorted out, you're going to start seeing all sorts of crazy awesome backgrounds in my photos! Josh was kind enough to snap these photos on the roof of his work in the afternoon, but starting now I'll probably be taking most of my outfit photos myself. Admittedly, I'm kind of excited about this, as it means I'll be able to travel to fun locations around the city for different backgrounds.

This was one of those outfits I wish I could wear every day! It's incredibly comfortable (hooray for skirts with stretchy waistbands that look like belts!), and has so many fun details, from the pattern of the skirt, to the ruffles on the blouse (also worn here), to the big dangly earrings. Plus it's bright, which is always a win in my book!

Blouse: gift from aunt, from Macy's
Skirt: thrifted from Crossroads Trading Co.
Shoes: Urban Outfitters
Earrings: free from aunt
Sunglasses: Oscar de la Renta from TJ Maxx
Bracelet: B. Lee Designs

  2. That skirt is fantastic! I love the colours in this outfit :)
I've been contemplating buying a camera remote...but if it doesn't help with focusing (right now I have my camera take 9 pictures in a row on a timer...and hope that it focuses on me) then I probably won't bother :(

  3. 90% of my photos were taken by myself with a remote, and I'm sure you will get the hang of it pretty quickly and really love it!
