I find that I wear a lot more black in fall and winter than I do in summer. I think it's because black doesn't feel appropriate or cheerful enough for hot, languid summer days; but when the weather turns cold and the skies get gray, my tastes turn more towards darker colors that allow me to embrace the dreariness of the season. Of course, I can't get rid of bright colors entirely! Thus the cheerful color blocked skirt (also worn here, here and here), which stands out quite well against all this black.

You are so adorable. I like that you paired black with such a bright color-blocking skirt, and I really (I've said it before and I'll say it again) LOVE that jacket.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love that you are wearing platform sandals with tights. I love that look, and it makes buying sandals so much more enjoyable (read: justifiable)

I plan on wearing my sandal wedges/open-toed shoes all the way through winter! As long as I have tights on, it shouldn't be a problem.

Cooler temps always bring out the darker hues, it seems to just be human nature. Or, perhaps what the stores always put out this time of year and we are programed to want to emulate every pretty window display we see.
ReplyDeleteLoving your jacket, it's such a pretty piece!
