Alpine

When I put on this outfit Josh said, "You look like you're going to go hiking in the Alps." I knew what he meant. Although this outfit would be entirely impractical for hiking, it does kind of look like something a woman from the 1940's would have worn at an Alpine ski lodge. ("Kind of" being the operative phrase there - I have a feeling women from the 1940's didn't embrace the dorkiness that is slouchy socks worn with tights, or blazers with sleeves that aren't long enough. But I bet they would have worn skirts like this one - and that may just be where the similarities end.)

Turtleneck: Kohl's
Skirt: Vintage, from an antique show
Blazer: thrifted
Hat: from my dad, from a hat shop in York, England
Sunglasses: Oscar de la Renta from TJ Maxx
Belt: thrifted from Goodwill
Tights: Forever 21
Socks: Gap
Boots: Crossroads Trading Co.

  5. This is the absolute perfect fall outfit. I love your cute derby hat and the socks/tights combo is something that I have been obsessing over (in fact, my post yesterday had tights and socks . . . ). I love all the colors, textures and patterns in this outfit. Very ski lodge chic!

  11. So the sleeves of the blazer may be a tad short. Who cares? You look amazing. You don't look like your going hiking but a ski lodge or âpre ski club for sure. I find the ensem fabulous.
