I've been feeling uninspired lately as far as outfits go. That's not a bad thing - it's not like creating interesting outfits is my job, or a crucial part of my existence. These jeans and boots have been worn a lot, and some of those jeans-and-boots outfits have been more interesting than others. Like this one - the women in my family went nuts when they saw this outfit a few weeks ago. I thought it was fairly simple, but they thought it was awesome, so I figured that meant it was worth posting on this blog.
Since I would feel weird only having one photo in this post (the top one is the only one that turned out), I thought I'd throw in these two below. The first one is my cousin Summer's awesome perfume collection, which I saw at a brunch on Sunday, and the second is my favorite of those perfume bottles, by Nicki Minaj...

when it gets cold and grey i start reaching for boots more often than not. it's a sad story but there is not reason you can't keep things interesting with great accessories like leopard fedoras.
ReplyDeleteYour family was right--this outfit is awesome and I love how it turned out! I think that casual non-"interesting" outfits sometimes turn out the best. I love your vest and hat!
ReplyDeleteYour family is right - really awesome! I love the interplay of colour, pattern, texture, and shape - subtle and harmonious - plus the hat and vest make a great silhouette.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty collection! It's frustrating that perfume slaughters me due to chemical sensitivity.
Same here - I can't wear most perfumes because they make me go on an endless sneezing spree. But sometimes I wear it anyway and just deal with the sneezing :)
DeleteOver the past several months, I transitioned from focusing on fashion to working on my home's decor and collecting art. I'm definitely ready for fashion again and know I can always find inspiration here. You look great!
ReplyDeleteYou're so sweet, thank you, Kristie!
DeleteI adore your hat - and that perfume collection is enviable, what a gorge collection of bottles!
